I dont have resistors and mine work great. Then again, Im a fan of the faster blinking.
I don't think he's talking about the "fast blink". I thought he was talking about when the signal stays on, appearing to flicker slightly............when I installed all my Rizoma's on my 06, I had the same thing happen. Almost looked like the signals was stuck on and wouldn't blink. 2 resistors later I got the "fast blink", and adding another 2 will put it back to the stock rate.

07/08's don't require resistors (unless you want the stock blink rate) Some LED signals will work fine without resistors on the 03/06 models, but the majority will need them.

If you turn the bike on they should blink, but without the bike turned on, they will probably stay solid. Try actually running the bike and doing it.

You seem to be really confused as to how the front signals are wired and how everything works together.

The cliff notes version is:

Three wires - one is negative, the other two are positive. Of the two positive, one pulses when the turn signal is activated, the other is a constant current when the ignition is on (this second one is for the running light function)

The factory relays on all current CBR600RRs (from 03-08) all use load based relays; these require a certain amount of current (amperage) draw caused by a certain level of resistance in a standard bulb to get the 'blink rate'. LED signals do not draw nearly as much amperage as bulb type signals (like factory pods) due to their very low resistance so the blink rate is often 'too fast', if not 'solid' (ie no blinking)

Assuming you are SURE you wired the PULSING positive wire to the LED signal, you will need to either add resistors in parallel to increase the amperage draw on the factory relay, or you will need to change the relay out for an IC based unit. (one that is not dependant on amperage draw) The latter option is only available for the 07-08 model year, as the 03-06 relay is built into the back of the instrument cluster from what I understand.

I would suggest you put everything back to stock first, and make sure you didn't kill anything horribly. Then, take it step by step since you seem to be new to vehicle electrical systems. Start by telling us what model year you have so we can guide you better.

E.

I have the lockhart phillips flush you have and an integrated tail and had the same problem you did until i figured it out... I went on ebay and bought 2 5 watt 20 ohm resistors and wired them in. Take the ground from the bike and the ground from the blinker and wire them through the resistor.
