Default Transmission ?

How bad is it to not use your clutch when shifting gears. I don't think it would be too bad when I do low speed upshifts, but what about when I cruising at 70 and give it a little gas and pop it down a couple speeds without using the clutch. I am just asking to have tranny problems or are they built to take that?

Ive been doing clutchless shifts up and down for years...my gears still have all thier teeth and i have had no problems. Its all a matter of timing as long as its a smooth transition between gears with no grinding...you should be fine.

I also shift quite a bit without the clutch...shouldn't be a big deal as long as you are doing it right. I wouldn't worry about it.

no syncros.

it wont pop until its all lined up.

i see more damage to your engine by "popping it down a few gears"

i clutchless upshift all the time, not a big fan of the downshifts.
i like to rev match on the down shifts.

Yeah, I wouldn't call the downshifts smooth. I just push down on the shifter a bit, give it some gas and it pops down.

I have an air shifter with an ignition kill I use on my 6peice for dragracing. Clutchless up shifts are all good. But I wouldnt down shift clutchless. You will bend shift forks and its hard on the transmission.
