is there any advantage in usin a 190/50 17 as to the original 180/55 17? i wont ever run on a track, nor will i ever do any major cornering, 90% of the riding will b hiway ...and will the difference in tire affect the speedo any? thanks for ur responses
correct me if im wrong. i dont think you can run a 190/50 on your 600. the rear wheels are different size. so if i was told a rear wheel from a 1000rr will not fit on a 600rr, then i doubt the 600 will fit the 190/50 stock 1000rr tire.
i might be wrong tho.

the wheel is a different size (6 inch vs. the 600rr's 5.5 inch) but you can shoe horn a 190/50 on there... it's just not very advisable. you deform the tire doing so. a 190/55 is a better choice if you wanted to change the sizes.

I went from a 190 (previous owner) to a 180 and it is a world different. Honda designed the bike to run with a certain tire size and changing that effects a variety of aspects from handling to tire wear. I like my 180 and will not go back. The 190, when worn, had a more defined flat spot in the center which made turn in much more difficult and leaning much more difficult.
