TIRES....
Hey dude ive ran the 208's on from stock to like 5000 miles on the rear and bout 7 on the front. I ran a shinko drag tire for my first rear tire cause i had it for another bike that got totaled out by a truck and i didnt last long. I am now runnin the Michelin Pilot Powers and if you like cornerin there awesome. I put my rear on yester day im almost at 9000 miles the fron has been on for like 2000 miles now. I went to some curves stait out the shop with the rear tire on yesterday and i took the tire all the way to the outside edge on a brand new tire and it just holds sweet. They are awesome tires but im not sure how long there gonna last but they hold the road like a dream come true.
Hey man go to this place i got a rear for 119.00 plus 15.00 for shippin then i took the rim off and to an independent shop and paid 8 bucks to install it. http://www.motoxoutlet.com/ This is the cheapes i could find except ebay but it was only 2 bucks diff and to ship it was gonna be 25 bucks. Thats for the pilot powers.
Im on an old army post in ny and some streets are slick and i still broke it loose today was amazed but i powerslide with the d208s but i agree the Pilot Powers are Awesome i rode an awesome road yesterday with a brand new rear and i should have been in leathers cause i was on it hard right away took like 40 miles to get to the road then i hit it hard but it stuck to the pavement like a champ. Ive come almost to scrubbin the arrow and the tire dude on the front tire when i was runnin a drag tire and that was just a turn gettin into work and i put the rear all the way to the outside edge on the left. Since i put these tires one its just handled so much better i just need to set my suspension up from the stock and i seen lots of knee draggin but it will have to wait for the next warm weather if im here for it cause its bout to get cold and nasty here. I wish i was back in Texas so i can ride year round. Enjoy your tires i know im gonna enjoy mine. [sm=goodidea.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif][sm=trust_me.gif][sm=groupwave.gif]
m1 sportecs suck... they are good for a while, but then they start to harden, and crack pretty fast.. after a few months / cpl k's on them.. maybe thats only here in vegas though...
plus they are a harder compound on than the pilots and are worse... pilots, only way to go.
