anyone ever hear of the temp sensor going bad mine spikes to 240 when stoped and just jumps all over the band with to like 155 all the way to 240 within seconds but when crusing just stays at normal temps 170-190

 

sounds like the wire going to the sender might have a short in it

or a melted spot that may be grounding out to the body
that is how that sensor works the hotter it gets the less the resistance. if the wire is grounding out then it will give erraditc readings

 

thx i took it to the local dealer i have an extended warrenty but they cantlook at it till monday
