Default Tail Light out of commission

Got pulled over last night because my tail light isn't working. This happened to me about 4 months ago, but I just shut the bike off and turned it back on and all was good.

Seeing as this happened before, I'm guessing it's not a fuse - although I'll check it out tonight. If it's wiring, I'm screwed as I know zero about wiring. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a 2007 cbr600rr with a fender eliminatior and the tail light right under the Yoshi Pipe.

Thanks guys

Sounds like you have a short in wire connection from your taillight to the bike wiring harness. Not hard to figure out, first off you are gonna need a test lite. That allows you to see were power is coming from. Take off your tailsection & check out how everything is wired to the taillamp. From your taillight, there should be a positive wire(normaly red) & a negative wire(normaly black). Follow those wires to see how they are connected to the bike's positive & negative wire. Thats were your problem most likely is if your taillight keeps shutting off.
