Default Stripped bolt?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to remove my headlight housing and everything was going very smoothly. However, the very last bolt is giving me trouble. The bolt head itself is not stripped but when I go to loosen it, it just spins and does not come out. I can try to tighten it again but it will just spin forever, neither loosening nor tightening. I think the actual threads in its slot are stripped. What can I do to remove this bolt and will I be able to screw it back in again???

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Default RE: Stripped bolt?

Hey all,

I just went ahead and drilled it out...turns out the metal insert in which the bolt screws into stripped itself away from its plastic cavity so it was just turning inside the cavity with the bolt....not sure how im goin to fix it yet but i will somehow, I was think about crazy gluing the insert back in the cavity.
