I'm not replacing everything that the insurance company says needs to be replaced, just the major stuff like the ignition and so on. I'll actually pocket money from this

The good news hoever is that I finally got the paperwork from the court, and I get to press charges on not 1, but "FOUR" people (2 guys, 2 girls) for the theft of my bike. Hopefully, since they asked me how much did it costs me, I'll get my deductible back as well.

Actually I think I saw a story on Fox 29 about them busting the ring that got your bike.

Get a disk brake lock. If anyone moves it the alarm will go off along with stopping it from going forward or in reverse. Thought about getting one, but then realized insurance would pay me more than what I bought my bike for if someone were to steal it. In the future when I get it all fixed up I plan on throwing some sort of alarm system on it.

YAAAYYY!!!!! After almost $1200 in repairs I finally rode my bike home.... only to realize I've been riding without plates lol. So there goes another $21 ($3 for the ATM) since the cops didn't give me back my plates, but who cares, I GOT MY BIKE BACK! Thanks to everyone for the support while my bike was MIA.

Congrats man. So what are your plans to keep it from getting stolen again? I'm considering a disc lock on top of my alarm.

Just so my bike can scream bloody murder two ways if someone tries to mess with it

Thanks, I've been thinking about the disc lock, alarm, parking it in my kitchen, etc. For now though, I'm mainly thinking of an oil change, new rear tire, and storing it for winter.
