How about tell him to be an honest person a give it back. Why would even consider purchasing this bike? O wait its a friend of yours so it make the situation ok? Get real Man!!!
what he said was he was gonna sell it as a stunter w/o a tittle to get it out his yard. half the stunt bikes around here have no tittle. and this bike is gorgeous. ive never made payments on a bike or nothing so iam not to savy on how they would seem to forget about it thats why i asked for advice (help) what i didnt ask for was an insulting comment so if you dont wanna help shuv it. to all those who actually tried to help me thanx. i know i cant go through with something like that it just sucks to see a really nice bike wined upgeting thrashed by some shirtless short wearing squid which is whatll probly end up happening but itll be his problem.

Technically the bike belongs to the bank untill he pays it off.

If he sells it to you (or anyone else) he is actually stealing it from the bank, and you are buying stolen property. (BAD NEWS)
If he wants to get rid of i/ can't afford it anymore, his best bet would be to talk to the bank, see if they'll accept giving the payments over to someone else, or defaulting on the loan, and giving the bike (repo) to the bank.

Selling it as a stunter without a title means he is selling stolen property. Just because a lot of bikes for stunting don't have a title doesn't make it any less illegal, and most of the time those bikes were somone's pride and joy before they got whisked away on the back of a truck. (One of the reasons I dislike the "stunta" culture)

If you REALLY want THAT bike, see if the bank will forego the interest/ penalties in exchange of you getting a loan to take over the payments. Otherwise find another bike.

And it would be wise to question the friendship of someone that will knowingly land you in jail by selling you "hot" property.

Give him an IOU and never pay for it. It wont show up on your credit.

when i said he was a friend i ment i knew him enough to know it wasnt stolen that it was actually his bike its not like i spend thanksgiving with the f$#kerhes just a dude ive worked with for awhile but the more i find out the more shady the whole deal sounds. i was only curious if some how it was like a rightoff or something being it wasnt on his credit and it was like a totaled bike where as u get a good frame grab the good stuff off the totaled bike and ur good. i definitly dont wanna screw with stolen property so f^k him. well thanks for the good advice everyone i couldafuged upbig time. guess ill stick with the old trusty f2 alittle longer till i get my credit up high enough but thats a topic for another thread......................

Cool, Sorry it didn't work out. Yep, deffinately steer clear of the guy.

Keep your eyes peeled though, there's always good deals to be had, specially now that the riding season is coming to a close...

All in all, I would be shying away from the whole deal
however, I wonder, it's not illegal, nor does it void your title to modify the engine of the bike, the plastics, etc
so could you feasibly (aside from the wrong of it) buy the parts and throw out the old frame? and get a title?

Soccer:

he would still be knowingly buying stolen property...

And he could get caught.. even though it is not normally checked (cause its a PITA) the engine, tranny, and swingarm have serial #s etched into them. hell even he wheels have them...

just because you're likely to get away with it does NOT make it any less illegal.

Oh I know, I always ponder situations though. Like trying to figure out the best way to rob a bank, but not stupid enough to try
