Anyone know if a Scotts damper for an 05-06 will fit an 04? I tried searching and found that the mounting kit for the linear type is different, so I'm assuming the mounting kit for the rotary style would be dif too but figured I'd ask the experts here to be sure

 

the steering dampner will most deff fit, but you may need to buy a different ring. under neath the bronze part there is a ring that is mounted to the bike, that varies per bike but the actual dampener is the same. im sure if it is different you cn order another mount directly through scotts.

 

any idea how much this ring might cost?
