steering bearing problem?

steering bearing problem?
i took my bike into a dealer ( not honda ). and they said they think something is wrong with my steering bearings. this is my first honda and had it about a month. what should i be feeling to confirm/deny this? nearest honda dealer is about 50 miles away..
