Ok so i sanded my pegs and painted them black. they look great and are holding up well. i want to paint stator cover and engine cover. first question. what prep do i need to do when taking off covers? like will oil leak out when i take off engine cover? also the paint i have is good for 500 degrees. you think this will be ok ? any help would be great , you guys always seem to pull me threw.

 

Whats up phil, I painted mine with polyuratane black which is what I use to paint alot of bikes and it has worked great so far. Check out my pics on my album I built my bike from the ground up. Johnny

 

I am planning on painting my stator cover as well...is heat resistant paint even necessary? How hot does the stator get?
