my buddy went down on his gsxr750 this past weekend. just being dumb doing wheelies and driving like a dumbass. wearing nothing but jeans and a t-shirt. bike was bought brand new last fall. the bike's pretty much totalled, it blew to peices when it hit the curb. hes got some road rash but the worst part is, no collision on the bike.. out thousands.. ouch.!

moral of the story,

wear your gear, dont drive like a dumbass, get full coverage....

 

no takers on the gsxr bashing.... ok ok, ill do it.... jk +1 on gear, responsible/sensible, covered

 

AS long as he's ok... loosing the bike because he was a dumbass should be lesson enough.

the local machanic that we use looked it over and took it all apart, he said it needed 4 grand for parts, then labour on top of that.... hes gonna try and fix it himself over winter and try and find cheaper parts off the internet, ebay, etc etc.

 

find a better mechanic. one that understands poor people and what get it running really means.

the local dealer quoted like 7 grand to fix my friends f4i, it needed motor, forks and a radiator. granted she got the parts used and they quoted her new, but still, thats not 7 grand worth of stuff.

anyways, go easy on him, **** happens and wheelies are fun.
