Default RE: Sprocket Change

I just recently purchased the same bike 08 graffiti. Was wanting to slow it down a little for wheelies .Right now it seems like 40 mph in 2nd gear the bike comes up nice , but it seems like im havin to hold it at 70 or so to keep it going.Would like myself to be able to do a slower wheelie so to say.Was looking at this kit for mine.

Default Sprocket change

Just changed my 06 f4i from stock 16-front and 46-rear to 1 down 2 up and was not pleased with the results.
Already ordered stock to change it back.

Hi Chris, yes that is a very severe gearing change.
I see you have an 06 F4i as do I, please give us some more details, introduce yourself.
From where do you hail, how long have you been riding, what else have you done to your bike, is this your first one etc.
We do of course love pictures, the more the merrier.
Just a point, the post you responded to was from 2008

Default New to the forum intro

Hey everyone, so yeah I noticed it's a very old conversation, but anyway I am a 11 year Texas resident Georgia original.
My first bike purchased about a year ago is a 2019 Klx 250 and quickly upgraded to the 06 f4i so pretty new to the bike world. I like to do all my own upgrades and repairs to learn and progress. Had to clean the rust from my gas tank after purchase and put new front and rear pads.
Here are some pics

My better half Suzy has the Ninja 250

My Son Mason has the Kx 85 in the back which ultimately got us into riding.

Welcome Chris, nice into and a biking family, fantastic.
Your F4i is a bit of a mixture, love the stuby exhaust.
Looks like it had had replacement fairings at some point, mine is the same as your tank, the yellow / titanium which is the original 06 colour scheme.
The seat looks very nice, can't quite make out what it is?
I picked mine up whilst also in Texas (although the bike came from New Hampshire) I was in Forth Worth for 3 years, came back in the middle of 2017.
Learning by doing is always the best way, as I am getting on a bit I have just been going through the process of raising the bars on mine and doing a complete fluid change and new brake hoses.
Take care and keep rubber side down.

Yeah I think the fairings are original someone just removed all the small decals and the seat is Luimoto.

You can kind of see where the decal used to be

Very nice cover.
What did you use to clean the tank, it did a very good job.
I see what you mean about the decals, It might just be the light, if the bottom of the fairing black or titanium like the tank stripe?
Mine has the titanium lowers to match the tank.
What make is the stubby, I'm sure it sounds great.
