I turned it out, so there are more threads showing, to lengthen the cable. That is what I believe you should do as well.

Been riding with these for a couple of weeks now and figured i'd report back.

they are AWESOME. Highly highly recommend them to anyone considering purchasing.

Love the length and grip feel. I keep them both on the #4 setting.

What's the consensus on the settings? I just put mine on, (I haven't ridden/adjusted the clutch/brake cable), but am a bit weary because for some reason the levers seem a bit loose -as in they move up and down, (freeplay at the hinge). Input? I tried tightening the two allen bolts on each lever a bit to see if it goes away and it doesn't help all that much.

As for the settings you're just going to have to ride around for a bit to see what settings fit you best. As for the free play, my F4i had a little free play as well. I don't know if that is normal or not but I never did anything about it and it worked fine for me. If you think there is too much you might be able to find a washer to use as a shim to eliminate that.

Did anyone order the red version of these?

Ebay says that some of the red levers come out looking hot pink. They look red enough in the photos to me, but I certainly don't want to end up with pink levers.

The red selectors on my levers were a burgandy color. The photos on my build thread are fairly accurate.

My black pair have a red adjuster and I know that it is not red like Honda red. It is not hot pink either but it does have a pinkish hue to it. I can see how over time it might become more pink by sitting in the sun.

I ordered the black. The red accents are fairly dark on mine. Don't think they look pink at all
