Default Seat shaving on 07 600rr?

I want to shave an inch or so off my 07 seat but in my research people have said the seat is already thin as is so before I even attempt, if anyone has shaved their 07 seat please let me know your experiences and end result.
Thanks in advance!

TD

.........and what would be the point of shaving the seat again. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I truly have NEVER heard of this before.

No offense taken...I want to be able to flat floot both feet during stops. I know its not a big deal to some people but it makes me more comfortable so instead of using lowering links that would change the handling on my bike, shaving the seat is a good option.

I think the 05-06 seat is thinner. you can see if it can fit, and trade with someone (the 07 seat is a little softer on the rider's rear)

I think you should attempt to get comfortable with putting your left foot down flat only. Your right foot should be on your brake. If you do it enough, you'll be comfortable with it. I can't completely flat foot when both legs are down, but I like to keep my brakes lights on while stopped so the cagers see it. I got used to keeping my left leg down, leaning the bike a little, and keeping my right foot on the brake. Just takes a few rides to make it habit and then you don't even think about it. Those 07 seats are sooo nice. Before you go cutting that nice soft seat up that a Honda engineer was nice enough to design with a rider in mind, I'll trade you my stiff 04 seat and you can hack that up all you like.

i agree- i can only get 3/4 of my left foot down when leaning- Toes only when trying to put both feet down- Im used to the one leg lean- like he said above- I like leaving my right foot on the brake so them cagers can see me[&:]

at 5'5.5ish, i have a lot of trouble at stops, but i don't want to lower the bike and i definitely don't want the seat to be any harder. i toyed with the idea of making the area that i'm straddling when i'm standing up thinner, but that's pretty much just the frame, so there's not a whole lot you can do. i've found that boots help - get me a little closer to 5'7.

I dont think the padding is even a inch thick on the RR seat.

Yeah, the 07 seats seem thinner but softer. I could be wrong.
