I must say that Honda let me down on the 09 600. It has less horsepower and less torque than last year's model. I do not understand what they were thinking. Instead of adding an abs why not use the money for a slipper clutch? The bike should have been just as or more powerful than the last year. It still light and is a 270 kmph bike. Honda is a leader in the world sportbikes, so i thought they would bring more game to the table. It's still a great bike though. I would like to hear the opinions of others on this topic please just wanted to know if i am over thinking this.

I agree with the slipper clutch. They needed one LAST YEAR.
Doesn't every sportbike in the class but them have one off the showroom floor? What the hell are they waiting for?

Journalists have been saying that part of the lack in top end is that the new exhaust noise restrictions caught them by surprise.

I'd bet if they went to the short low mounted exhaust that the ZX 6R has they would pick up a bit. Call me crazy but I actually kinda like it.

I could be wrong, but I think I read some where that the loss in hp/tq on all the bikes are cause of new regs for catalytic converters which caught many of the companies off guard. But like I said, I could be wrong, I'll have to look it up again.
