This might be a stupid question, but I don't know the answer so I will ask.

Is it ok to ride without the gauge cluster for a week or so? I want to have mine modified, but I have to send it in to get it done. I ride to work everyday, so I really have no down time. I should have done it while I was in Japan, but too late now. So if I decided to do it now, I will be clusterless until it comes back.

 

For one its illegal - I have no idea if it would hurt the bike, I assume not.

 

Wont hurt a thing. I'd suggest not going faster than the flow of traffic tho lol.

Only issue I can foresee is maybe the turn indicators might not work/correctly.

 

hmm ok. I guess I will not do that mod for now. I will wait until I go on the trip next time.
