Bridgestone battlax? my RR came with them and that's how they are. It's totally weird. Rear tire is normal...

 

If that's the case then that is a relief. I never had Battlax and didnt realize they were that way.

P.S. Rsp I was not questioning your mechanical abilities or bike knowledge, I just didn't want to see you be so excited to have it together and jump right on it (I might have done that if it was me) without realizing the tire was backwards and eat $hit.

 

Haha, no worries. I had to look at it three times myself after the guy mounted it.

 

Yup, the way those grooves are directed it looks like it would send the water toward the center of the tire rather than directing it out to the side. Maybe they expect that when you are on the sidewall that the water should go away from the turn. It's hard to believe it isn't wrong one way or the other.
