Default 1990 Streetfighter Build "Ak-13s"

I recently bought a 1990 CBR that already has a 600RR tail section welded on. As I do with everything, I'm making it "mine." I'm starting with paint and inspections. I'll tuck the wires, perhaps put the fuse box inside a special dry box for easy access. I'll upgrade the headlights and windscreen (probably a removable 2 point screen since I do a lot of touring). I may even get risers or bars of some sort. And I want to make the seat more comfortable, but I think getting risers will sort that out, if not, then lowering links? I just don't like the feeling that I'm being pushed forward... onto my, uh, bearings. I'm an Industrial Design student, so suggestions and criticism are welcome! (the last picture is my current plan for paint).

Nice pickup, mind if i ask how much you got it for? I'm pretty jealous of the tail conversion.

Oh sure, I got it 80 miles from where I live for $1500. Thankfully a friend drove me there and escorted me back. I'm thankful because that off road use only headlight lit about 15ft of the highway as the sun went down.

I really like the paint scheme your thinking about going with. It makes it look BA. I love bikes that are solid colors

Got the wires tucked under the airbox, and I've pulled the digital gauge unit so I can extend the wires (don't know why the original install featured a 6" extension instead of a full 12"). Most of the paint is ready or drying. The tail won't be done for another two days because of the two tone paint.Name: img_20110331_203016.jpg

Nice and clean bike. The tail looks butters, that is the tail I'm going for when I get a chance. Are you planning on installing rear pegs for a second person?

I don't think I'll do a passenger setup. There isn't as much power as I would like. And thanks for the comment!Name: img_20110401_162412.jpg

I'll have a chance this weekend to pull the tail. I'll get plenty of shots for ya. But, I didn't do the conversion, so I might not be able to tell everything you need to know.
