Default right leg hot....

anyone elses right leg/calf get pretty warm on these? is that just normal on every bike or should i be concerned? temp says 178.... usually gets good and hot after 30 mins of riding... just wearing jeans but damn... i end up having to throw my leg out like a friggin wing to cool it down...

not sure if its related or relevent.... 6th gear @ 4k rpm running 60 mph.

I wear jeans, my 07 RR gets up to 230 degrees if I'm sitting in the sun. My right leg gets warm but not enough to cause any alarm. I'm also short, so your legs may be touching things that mine aren't.

yeah after i posted it i thought about it and went and looked....heat shields are there....didnt realize the pipe ran more to the right side ....for some reason i thought it was a straight shot up the middle. might just need to wrap it in exhaust wrap behind just the shield... dunno why my leg gets so flippin hot though. people on 600rr.net said they all suffer from it too. guess its just mostly normal. price we pay for the undertail exhaust :/
