is it a bad idea to buy a bike with a rebuilt status?

 

If your asking for an opinion, mine would be yes, it would be a bad idea. Only because you have no idea what else is wrong with the bike. Things could be missing and more than likely if the bike needed to rebuilt than who ever had it more than likely beat the crap out of it. Its your call and your money, but I would not buy any bike that had to be rebuilt in any such way......I asume the title says rebuilt on it?10 to 1 you will have problems with the electrical ..just my 2 cents. I bought my 06 RRlast year for 5,700(6,700 miles)and had not had 1 problem with it (knock on wood)..so there are deals out there if you look. I bought my bike off of Craigslist.

 

Just spend the extra money and get a decent bike that hasn't been dropped.

 

I am with freak on this one you have no idea what all was done right in the rebuild. I would say spend the extra money and get a non wrecked one.
