Is the rear wheel supposed to spin when clutch is in!?
hey guys,
just managed to do a little diy on my chain, but after lubing up on the rear stand, put it into first whilst holding the clutch in "fully" and the rear began to spin up. This normal? I thought the clutch would disengage the engine totally.
Words of wisedom always appreciated!

It is normal
Even with a properly adjusted clutch, the movement of the oil
(wet clutch) will cause the rear wheel to spin if it is of the ground
If the clutch is not releasing completely the bike will tend to pull fwd
when on the ground with the clutch in, or the engine will bog when putting it in gear.

This really scared me when my girlfriend's automatic car did it in either park or Neutral. But my buddy who changes transmissions for a living says the same thing everyone here did. So, I assume they are all right. Hopefully this is not too far off topic...
