i have the escort x50 blue and i wanna use it on my bike. does anyone have a radar mounted on there 03.04? i have seen a few mounting options and none seem OUT OF THE WAY of the cluster.... i would love to be able to just mount it to the windscreen but does a tintedscreen have a effect on the radars abilty?

if any one has pictures of the radar mounted on there bike please post

 

Hmm I'm not sure about that but I know when I was putting my antenna for my sirius radio in my car I had it on the inside of the back windshield. At the time I worked at a mercedes dealership and there were a bunch of mechanics there and I asked one why I couldnt get great reception. He told me that the tint would interfere with the signal. Im not sure if it would have the same effect on a signal for a radar detector... just throwing it out there

 

If the tint is metalized, it will block a lot of the signal, making the radar detector a lot less effective. (a lot of the better tints out there are metalized, even if they are black)

and the laser detection is almost useless when used through dark tints.
