Default Racin CBRs

i think i read somewhere that the honda 600RRs where hittin like 185 at datona or something. if thats true, that tells me that they would have to have like 150 hp. now i know that our bikes are in reality very similar to what gets raced and i was wonderin if any of the stuff that makes the race bikes do 185 or so is available to purchase privately. i know that im not going to buy a new computer program that somehow finds 50 hp but surley they have hot cams or something that we could use. like i said, i was just curious.

You probably can, but I think what your hearing is from the FX bikes... and you pretty much gotta rebuild clutch/motor after every race.... I want something with a little more reliability and day to day consistency than that :S good luck in your quest though

HRC makes a whole bunch of performance parts that I'm sure would get you close. It'll empty your wallet really fast too. But even so, you don't get something for nothing. Tuning your bike to hit at top speed like that, you're bound to sacrifice performance somewhere else. 150 hp (or whatever) may be nice, but where you make that hp (in the power curve) makes a huge difference too. Those setups used for Daytona would probably suck for a more technical track like Infineon Raceway (Sears Point).

http://world.honda.com/HRC

Try there, the websites a little slow sometimes, if you look in the products you`ll see whats available. Snoop around abit theres a section that`ll tell you where your nearest HRC store is, usually your nearest Factory backed Honda racing team. Let me know if you get any prices was thinkin of finding out for myself.
