Default r6s price vs rr

hey guys,

I'm going to purchase either a raven r6s 06 or cbr rr 05. The local dealers have both. The cbr is going for 8299 and same with the raven. What price (bike along, not OTD) do you think would be good. I know that this is a rr forum, but to me I like them equally so the main factor would be price. Please let me know what price (price of bike itself) is a would make it a good deal for both bikes.

Sounds like they already have a fair price on them both. I made it OTD at 9300 so you're going to do better than that. I'm sure after taxes, title and all the other fees... you'll be close to 9000 OTD. Since it's late in the year on the 05 CBR, you should be able to talk them down some or have a nice $300 helmet added in the deal.

Well lets face it, they're both good bikes. I have a 2005 R1 now after owning two hondas. All 3 bikes have been great with no problems out of any of them. I like the looks of the 600RR better than the new R6s. Thats all the input i have.

What r6 are you looking at. The new r6's have two types the r6 and the r6s. I'm not sure about the 06 but I talked to a dealer before and if it's your first time riding the cbr will be better. It's much smoother than the r6 and easier to ride in my opinion. These are '05's i'm talking about though. i ride an 05 600rr and my buddy rides an 05 r6. Personally I like the feel of the cbr better than the r6. Looks better too

I bought my 2006 600RR for $9000 OTD. Don't get involved in the bike price look ask for OTD. I would say the invoice price on 600RR is some wher $6800??

Are you looking at an 06 r6? They are not out here in florida yet, at least none of the dealers have them. If you are looking at the 06, that is going to be one bad machine. redline at 17.5k and somewhere around 130 hp. enough said. yamaha also owns ohlins so you get good suspension. i think all 600's will eventually have the redline up there but this is the first. It even redlines higher than rossi's motogp bike!
