I know don has got the same bike as me but I am looking for the best mods to do to my girl first, I was thinking a yoshi rs-5 but frame sliders are the major concern any suggestions??

 

Frame sliders are good as long as you're ok with cutting the plastic. Drop a tooth on the front sprocket.

1) set up your suspension to suite you (sure you already did but in case you haven't)

what are you trying to do? performance or look?

 

He’s talking about gearing... change your sprockets to get more torque. The stock gearing is 16 front 43 rear, if you go to 15 or 14 in the front or +2 +4 in the rear, you get better take off... but loose some top end. This will also cause your speedo to be off.

 

and with a first bike...too much jerk.
don't do it until you get a better handle on the throttle (ie. throttle control).

 

adjust the levers and controls to fit you best, that wil help alot with learning the control and remember....
comfort = confidence

 

also some flush mounts front signals will minimize the chance of cracking the plastic if you "drop" the bike. The stock signals have alot of leverage and will break the plastic most of the time, that with some frame sliders will minimize any damage that may come fom a simple drop.
