Default Quick Question about 07 RR

WHy are all new bike are going for the naked bike look? Like every generation there is less and less left of the fairings?
I am paying 9+grand for bike, can I get the complete plastic fairing please?
Still, there is a very good chance that Im gonna end up with the 07 RR.
The tail light is gross but Im sure something can be done about that.

True, you wanna see naked? Look at the SuperHawk. That's naked. What's wrong with showing off a little of that HONDA greatness????

Personally, I like the full fairing look (like my 06 600RR). I do agree that the newer bikes are wearing less and revealing more, which I'm not a huge fan of, but as long as it's not a true naked bike, I'm fine.

I don't think the lack of fairing on the 07 is to do anything with weight (the fairings aren't THAT heavy). It's more to do with cooling and airflow. All of the vents and openings on the fairings are all modeled to move air more efficiently around the rider to create less drag and increase aerodynamics.......as well as cool the engine and components better. That's my two cents on the matter.

I still perfer the 06 to the 07 until I see the new ones in person in December. Will a new 2007 look better parked next to my 06?.....that'll be the deciding factor.

I agree at this point I like my '06 better, but won't really know until they are out.

I have to add that I think they are doing some of the changes for looks as well. Ferrari use to say, "Every year we try to make the car more beautiful and each time we find it makes for better aerodynamics," while speaking about the Testarossa.

Right now I have to say I like the 06 fairings better, but the 07 comes in white pearl, my fave color. hmmm...
I can't wait to see it in person, to see if I can live with the new look, although aqftermarket tail/signal lights will be mandatory on that one.

No, my 06 is G-rated, the 07 is more PG or possibly even PG-13 if you look close enough. (you can see exhaust cleavage). LOL.

Yeah, I was mainly replying to the styling of it, but the performance should be outstanding from all that I've read on it. If it does indeed perform as well as it's hyped up to be, I might just have to keep my 06 as the daily driver and buy the 07 (or 08) to make into a full time track bike. There's no use wasting all that performance gain just for me to commute to work, so the 06 will stay as the driver. The new one will be the real toy to play with. (if I play my cards right).
