^^^ My dad was the same way. His exact words were " you know why they lay down on the bikes?" I was like , yeah for better comfort and less cross wind drag" and he was like " F*ck no!! So they can have their *** in the air ready for their boyfriends cause they are all gay!!!" I was like " whatever dad, You wouldnt understand man" He still to this day thinks that his Honda Shadow Vtwin 800cc can stomp my F4i. I laugh and tell him, " ok dad, You got me!"

i got mine at the age of 21 still living with them. my parents were okay about it although my mom wasa bit more worried then my dad. they just told me to be carefull. i took the MSF course before i hoped on a couple buddies of mine then bought my 1k which is my first street bike. i think parents get use to knowing the fact that we love it but will always think aboutwhat may happen andwhat comes a long with it.

For me it was very hard to convince my parents I should be allowed to get a bike as they had never even learned to drive even a car. The fact that I have lived within ear shot of the TT course all my life has infused motorcycling into my blood.[8D] Even so I heard the “If you get a motorcycle, you can move out” lecture so often it was looking like I had to move out to even sit on one. I then at 16 got at job where I had to travel 8 miles every morning so needed transport. A little Honda C70 (Cub) was cheap and so I started the slippery slop to racing on the TT circuit. Now that was a one sidedargument.[:@]
