Priority in repairing and reconditioning 2006 CBR 1000RR
I recently purchased a 2006 CBR1000RR and it runs good. However, I noticed that it hesitates off the line and pings when hot. At around 80mph it also seems to vibrate more than it should and when I'm in neutral it almost feels like there is an imbalance in the flywheel or something else spinning freely when in neutral.
Could someone suggest what I should replace or repair next to address the issues mentioned above? I eventually want to look at all aspects of the bike to bring it to near new condition (or better with after market parts).
I'm new to motorcycle repair, but I'm capable of repairing most machinery and automobiles. It just that these machines are so precise and the parts are so expensive that I need to change out and repair the most important parts and prioritize my investment in this bike. What essential tools do I need purchase in order to do major repairs and enhancements? What is the best way to learn about how to enhance performance and what parts are worth the money?
Thanks in advance for your help.
