Ok guys, I got my 07 blue and silver RR, and on my tail section there are 2 spots where it looks as if the paint has rubbed off, and is now black. It is at the very far rear tip of tail. Any of you guys know what this is from? or have a solution?

I will get some pics here later, camera is dead right now, battery charging.

 

What exhaust do you have? Is it on the top or the bottom? I havent seen that one yet.....

Stock exhaust.

And its not really on the top or bottom, pretty much literally right on the very outer edge. Like and inch long or so. If I had to pick top or bottom though, I would say top.

 

Could be from swinging your feet over the tail to get on your bike, I got light scratches from that on my bike, [:@]but no biggie.

 

That's weird...Honda does a good job with their painting....so I wouldnt think its a manufacturing process thing. Do you have frequent riders on the back...possibly holding on with their hands back there? [sm=smiley24.gif]

 

Maybe either its rubbed off from your foot, or walking by it and rubbing against it, or if your running really rich, burning fuel on there. See if WD40 will take it off.

 

Yea it may not be that the paint has come off at all, try scrubbing it with some finesse or some other sort of polishing solution, but make sure what ever you use isnt going to scratch your paint [&:]you havnt backed it into something without noticing have you?

 

I have never had a passenger on her yet, and I have only swung my foot on her 1 time. And that was back when I first got it, and made sure I didnt dick it up.

Now I have seen people "admiring" my bike from time to time. Like when I come out of a restraunt or something, so I have no idea if others have messed with it. Plus I live in dorms and people could touch it if they wanted, but its normally always covered.
