Default Oil light and FI light ??

I just bought my first bike.. 2003 CBR 600RR. I pretty much love it but I'm having a few problems with it. Since I've had it the red oil light has been on even though the oil has been changed and filled up. Also on the display the "FI" is showing up. I had a honda mechanic look at it, he even used his expensive little diagnostic tool on it but he couldn't figure out what was wrong. I'm hoping nothing actually IS wrong, just a sensor or something. There's also a dark red bar about a 1/4 inch long on the gas gauge when the bike is off (what is this). Anyone else having this problem? Also, where can I get an owners manual for this bike?

the red light for the oil is on both whenever the key is on and when the bike is running but the "FI" deal is only on when it's running. Also, there's the letter "A" that appears right under the speedometer, i don't know what that is either

Ok, I'm not sure what the problem is with the oil light staying on, but the red bar is for your fuel indicator. It gives a background for the last bar when you are down to your reserve fuel. That means, "fill me up, I'm thirsty". And it will stay on with the bike off. The "A", if it's the one that I'm thinking of, is one of two settings for your tripometer. I don't know if that is what it is called, but you can reset it or change to "B". It's like the setting of a car's odometer.

I hope this helps with two of the three.

Direct from 2006 CBR 600RR Owner's Manual, page 29.

The PGM-FI indicator (FI) and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) (also known to us as the oil light) light when there is any abnomality in the PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system.

The PGM-FI indicator should also go on for a few seconds and then go off when the ignition switch is turned ON and the engine stop switch at RUN.

If the PGM-FI indicator and the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) light at any other time, reduce speed adn take your motorcycle to a Honda dealer as soon as possible
.

According to the manual, there is a seperate low oil indicator light that is right next to the FI indicator.
