Default New vs. old

What if any are the differences between the 2006 RR's and the 2004 RR's? I'm looking at an 03 RR for racing. Has anyone had a problem where the bike won't start if the lights aren't plugged in?

Any suggestions. My past bikes have been an F2, and an F4.

Thanks
Greg

Do a search. This has been asked many times over.

the 05/06's are a little more narrow, weight less, Honda tweaked the engine and mapping a little, different fairings, and I believe they all come with emissions stuff similar to the cali bikes of the past

and your problem is probably that the bank angle sensor (usually located on the headlight assembly and wired into the headlight wiring harness) needs to be either plugged in or the wires for it need to be crossed. If you still have the headlight assembly just find the bank angle sensor and trace the wires going down to the connector and cross the corresponding wires on the female end of the connector. This should solve the problem
