RE: New Leathers
I bought clear static cling vinyl through either dennis kirk or chapparal motorsports and it works really well. What you do is cut it to shape (of course) and wet the vinyl and wet the tank, slap it on there then use a windshield squegee (spelling) to get all the water out. I'd advise not getting one that uses adhesives to hold it in place. The static cling like mine will not peel off unless you want it too. Also keeps bug guts from getting smashed between your thighs and the tank.

I just bought some Alpinestars pants and jacket this year. I have no complaints about the leathers other than the fact that I noticed my pants were scratching my tank. Does anyone have this problem, and if so, any suggestions to help protect the paint on my tank?

If your wearing a full suit then then the leathers scratching the paint should be the least or your worries. LOL!! I've worn my pants a couple a times and they don't seem to be tearing up the paint. Are you talking about right at the base where the seat meets the tank?
