Default New brakes question

I got new brakes on and when I stop it is smooth until the last minute and then it kinda vibrates, I think the new pads and new rotors just need time to settle and conform to one another but I'm not sure sounds like they are kind of grinding so I took them back off and the pads had a few gouges in them , againI assume because the rotors are not perfect and everything needs to be smoothed off from a few miles. any news wll be good, anyone gotten new rotors and brake pads yet. They are both EBC so I am sure that they are pretty good quality items.

Prolly just new parts mating up. If it gets worse then you might wanna look further into it. Should be back to normal within 100 miles (moderate braking type miles not highway miles[8D])

Well this is kinda scary I got the new rotors and pads 1 week ago and the pad on the left side is totaly gone I mean totaly gone looks like I took a grinder to it and just ground it off the rotors are ebc and the pads are as well what the f is up I know they were on right I checked them three times. the right one is a little different it dosn't have the slots in it and it works just fine I thought it was the slots som how just etching away at the pads but the whole thing is gone and the slots are only half as wide as the pad anyone know whats up with this.
