NEW TO THE BIKE SCENE
whats up guys i am new to the bike scene gettin ready to purchase a very nice 05 600 RR and i was just wondering i have ridden a few dirt bikes but have never been on a sport bike or anything else for that matter but i was just wondering how big of a difference it is. i know that the 600RR is not the best beginner bike but i plan to devote most of my time to learning to ride and appreciate having a bike. Most of the reason i am purchasing this bike is because of comfortability......I am 6'6 and about 160 but this bike is the most comfortable bike for me although i am tall and lanky *** hell haha but this bike just seems right that and i am getting a great deal on it. this is my first bike and i have a good friend of mind that is going to be riding with me and showing me the basics before i get big headed and screw something up after all the basics are always important. My Friend that i will be riding with has been riding around 6 years and he told me to get a bike that is comfortable for my tall frame and the RR just feels good to be of course i am pretty flexible and i can easily tuck under the windshield. Just wondering if you guys have any tips or advice on getting started and i know very much so to respect the beast between your legs i have been in a couple cars accidents (nothing serious) but we were just pushing the limits of our ability and i know that i will not be doing that on a bike for quit sometime. i have had a couple of buddys pass in the last couple of years and i think its time that i hop on a bike. any information and advice is appreciated. thanks guys and i cant wait to finally have a bike of my own.

Take the MSF course they are awesome at what the do and you learn alot as a new rider plus they help you prepare for the criver lisence test and at the end of the course you get tested for your drivers lisence.
Comfort isn't an issue just sitting on a bike, it starts becoming an issue when you begin moving on it. Just take it easy and slow and you'll be fine, or could be fine lol.
you rarely tuck on a bike so forget that issues...sounds like your buddy may be one of those high speed straight away junkies...be careful riding with him.
as for bike power...at 6'6 and 160...you are an underdog...eat some more...work out...and take the MSF. the bike will NOT be comfy in longer rides...your knees will ache...fo sho.

haha i am working on the eating part.............my friend actually is one of the most responsible and carefull riders around although he is riding a busa he does like speed but i have known him for a few years and he wouldnt spent the past year trying to get me on a bike and then show me all the wrong ways to do everything. this bike is comfortable to me because my knees dont hit the fairings when i got my feet on the controls so thats what i was looking for unlike the kaw. 636 or gsxrs. what do you guys recommend for some good exhaust i am not looking to take this bike down the strip next week but i am a hardcore gear head i love cars trucks and bikes and iwas thinking about goin with a JARDINE TITANIUM setup but i would like to see what think because nobody around here really has street bikes most people ride harleys and when i pull up next one i want them to know that my bike sounds bad ***. THANK FOR THE HELP GUYS. BURN RUBBER NOT YOU SOUL.
whats up man, i got an 03 600rr as my first bike, didnt have any problems i just took it easy for awhile on back roads with little traffic till i was comfy, its got a touchy throttle but you get used to it, i have a jardine slip on it was about $280, took me about 45 min to put it on. it sounds awsome. friekin loud so people know im there saved my *** acouple times already
First off, give me a couple inches. I'm 5'8" 195lbs (No comments please. I eat andworkout alot.) Secondly, you'll love the bike. Just bought my 07 about a month ago and I still think it's the best purchase of my life. Good luck and let us know how it goes
