I was able to break the nut loose on the back of mine, I just did this a couple days ago. Then I loosen the bottom pinch bolt and was able to use the 10mm hex socket on a 3/8 drive ratchet and back it out. I had to apply pressure to the back of the bolt to thread it out since the only threads are on the nut. Also there is a spacer in between the frame and the engine, so watch for it when you take the bolt out.

good call on the impact wrench onewheelin, i owe ya one. now i have a problem with my actual slider. the engine bolt has a 20x28mm head on it so that it fits the hole in the frame, the bolt that came with my sliders (shoguns) dont have this same spacer thingy so it doesnt fill the hole in the frame. also, the bolt is about an inch too short to put the nut on the back. what do you guys think? did i just not get the right bolt in my package (the sliders were for an 03 600RR) or is there something else a gotta do?

i got the shogun sliders, and yea i have to cut with them. my problem is that the engine mount bolt (original) has a 20mm wide x 28mm long head on it were the frame is pinched bolted around it, the bolt then goes to about a 13mm size where it goes through the spacer and into the engine block and then gets the nut threaded on the end. I dont see how you could have used this original bolt on any frame slider? the bolt that came with my set, is about an inch to short with the slider on to be able to get the nut on. on top of that, there is no other spacer or anything to put on the bolt to shim it up were its through the frame, without one, the frame doesnt sqeeze against the bolt like it does with the stock bolt. i dont know if this desciption helps at all but my comp wont let me post any pictures to show what im talking about.

Make it simple and call the manufacturer and describe your problem to them.
