MY New 07 CBR 600RRbroke down at 67 miles!!!!!!!
I hate it for you, but there is no need for an entirely new bike. I side with Honda. They're replacing the entire engine, why do you need new bodywork, tires, forks, exhaust, etc? What prob. happened is the oil pump sprocket came off the oil pump due to an undertorqued bolt. ****e sometimes does happen. Honda is proud of their products so naturally they are inquisitive when a brand newbike destroys itself after so few miles. Look at thirdgenLXI's F4I - over 90,000 miles and not a single problem.I'm a mechanic at a dealership and we had a CR250F suck an air jet from the carburetor into the combustion chamber after about 15 minutes of riding. Honda ended up replacing only the carburetor since the damage to the rest of the engine was practically non-existent (engine was being kickstarted when jet was sucked in and piston stopped at TDC and engine locked up). They didn't replace the entire bike or even the engine, nor should they have. I do feel bad for your situation, but I think Honda is doing the right thing and replacing the entire engine. If anything maybe a new speedo cluster so your mileage reflects the correct mileage of your engine.
Yeah Maybe your right Honda is doing everything but you really don't think logically when your as pissed off as i was lol. But definitly my dealership is the **** like I said I have done a **** load of business with them they are real great and I already knew about the headache at crazy freddie's lol. Well I do know my bike wiull be most likely running this weekend and ready says the dealership because they finally have all the parts. Thank God... I let you guys know if I hear anything else. and Ride safe
