Default More tire talk

anyone change their own tires? I was gona change mine but I have no Idea how they are balancing the new tires now? I have worked in a tire shop before so I know the Idea behind getting them on and off. I want to know if they use a machine for balancing or if you can still use the old style where it sets on a pendulum and has the bubble level in the middle. I would prefer to do it all myself tired of making ina***uate mechanics rich. is it me or are all bike mechanics half retards, never a straight answer and never quality work. and only two within 50 miles.

I also like to do as much of the work myself when it comes to the bike, not only assures me it is going to get done right but it saves a little cash as well. When it comes to the sneakers on the bike I always take it to the shop. To much relying on making sure that weight is in the perfect spot! The way I see it, if the shop messes it up, at least my family will have some one to sue! LOL!
