Well, I have been gone away from Iraq for 11 months. I came home and started my 2005 600RR. To my suprise it started right up! After riding for about 15 minutes I shut it off. Then I went to start it and it wouldnt start. I hooked it up to the battery pack and started it back up. I road it again for about 30 minutes. I then shut it off, and went to restart it. It wouldnt start again. Is this a battery problem or something wrong with my alternator?? What should I do to fix the problem?? New battery, or try and trickle charge my old one. Thanks in advance..

 

replace batery, when you are riding it the alternator is doing its job, batery won't hold a charge... replace it, problem will go away....

how was Iraq while you were there, i was there for 2, 7 month tours in al ahsad airbase and al taquadum air base.

 

Thanks I will replace the battery. I was in Baghdad for 13 months, but ran convoys to the 2 places you described. All of the places sucked!
