Loss of power and dying. Fuel pump?
Hello again, I forgot to update my last thread but I successfully dropped the engine and repaired the stripped spark plug threads.
Now a new problem.
So I stupidly left fuel in my tank full over the 6ish months it was in my garage being worked on because I assumed it wouldn't take me very long to fix it, but I got busy with work.
Once I rebuilt everything it took like 20-25 attempts pushing it down the driveway and dumping the clutch for it to start, and when it did the fuel was clearly bad because if I pulled in the clutch or let off the throttle it would die, so I had to pin it for a few minutes going in circles around the neighborhood before the bad fuel burnt up (I siphoned most of it out and filled it with fresh fuel). After that, it ran and idled as expected. However, it had a noticeable lack of power in the top end. In gears 1-2 I could push it to redline easily, but 3-6 it wouldn't go past 10-12k RPM.
I assumed the problem was gummed-up injectors, and didn't pay much attention to it since I was just glad to be riding again so I just ran a few tanks of gas through it with fuel system cleaner. A few weeks ago on a ride it died twice at a stop light, and then after refueling was struggling to start unless I twisted the throttle a bit. Then last night on the way home, with about 2 bars of fuel left, it died at a stop and wouldn't turn over.
My assumption is the fuel pump has gone bad, but I feel like it could also be the injectors. Has anyone experienced a similar set of issues, and what solved it?
Edit:
It's a 2005 CBR600RR
Here's a video of it attempting to start
Here's a video of it starting when I give it gas but dying when released
