Default A little bit off topic, sorry

Well i dont know where else to go, seriously. So the story is i just bought a 2001 Honda Shadow ACE, about a month ago. Wasn't running cause it's been left sitting for about a year. Anyway i got it for a bargain, and i'm planning to make it my daily driver. Just because my 2007 RR attracted to many bike thieves out there, if i put her out in the open.

Anyway i got the carb rebuilt, change air filter, fuel filter even the fuel pump. She's running now, however sometimes it feels like it doesn't get enough power at all, and like it sputerred and there's this BACKFIRING from the exhaust.

Anyone has any experience on this, any suggestion ??? Thx and i'm sorry if this is really out of the CBR600 topic ...

Have looked over all the linkage through the thottle or even the clutch slipping on you. May need to clutch plates. Figured I'd throw it out there.

the popping sound in the exhaust is from it running too lean, that means either your carbs are clean or maybe the petcock/fuel filter is clogged not allowing quite enough gas to make it to your bowl

is the popping sound only at a certain rpm range?

Not really it looks like if i pull the throttle more than a halfway it would pop and along with it the engine like losing power and about to shut off
