left hand switchgear wiring
Hi all, my name is Andrew, and i have a 1986 Honda GoldWing that I am modifying. I bouight the switchgear (both sides) from a 2013 CBR600, and am trying to wire it onto my bike. the right side was pretty easy to do by looking on the inside, as there is not a lot going on there. stop/run, brake switch, and start button. On the left the story is different. there are a lot of wires on both the old GW part and the newer CBR part. I have not had much luck in finding a clear and legible wiring diagram for the CBR600. I am hoping that someone here might have a good diagram or shop manual and can send me an image of the left hand switchgear for US models. just so i can figure out exactly how to wire it to my existing wiring. Thanks for your time.
For those interested, 86 GoldWing GL1200A, stripped down, CBR600 controls, VFR800fi clutch and brake master cylinders, protaper ADV bend bars, mounted with customer machined adjustable bar risers. will have a black and gold theme. still a 2up bike for comfortable riding, but much smaller and lighter. wil have twin 5-3/4' LED headlights and i am still working out the rest of the lighting, digital gauge cluster, retaining as much of the factory features as possible. mostly took off all the fairings and bags, and removed useless wiring from the loom. still have a long way to go, but trying to get a "rideable project"before the end of the year.
