LOL

Thanks for all of the replies guys i appreciate it.

I bought a brand new helemet...it is HJC, i hope that is ok. i also bought Icon gloves and i am buying an Icon jacket within a week.

Using ABS plastic and metal rods i fabbed up a Fender eliminator kit to mount my plate right above my real rear fender over the wheel. i came out real well all that i need to do is mount it. i am waiting til my integrated tailight arrives to do that(ordered).

Of course teh frame sliders are on the way. I am not taking the bike above 6-7k for the break in. i guess for about 600 miles huh. i am too much of a rookie to take it any higher now...lol

i had it out all day yesterday and LOVED IT!

Finally if any of you have a gun and live by please come and shoot me.
I tint windows, work on cars, and use heats guns ALL day...but somehow my dumbass bubled the paint on my tank cover while peeling a sticker...so my 30mile bike need to have it repainted...i cant believe it bubbled i was so careful! i guess i am not use the the plastic and paint etc...
What is my best course of action for that? i think that i will pull the tank cover off and take somewhere to get it repainted black.

Thanks
Louie

Seriously, you gotta be ****ting me. I don't live near you, but I do have multiple guns and I'm willing to drive the distance.

Just kidding, but holy crap dude. A blow dryer would have done the trick. Why you thought you'd need a heat gun to remove those stickers I will never know.

yup...i was so furious yesterday...

Today i am a little better.

does anyone know what all it involves in order to get that tank plastic off?
is that just a cover or is it the actual tank?

Any info would be awesome..i will get pics tomorrow so everyone can laugh at me...I guess it is better than dumping it though...

seriously bro leave it stock and take a MSF course. a stock bike along with mature responsible riding will bring you less hassle from the cops. and get rid of that icon gear and get some better gear. if you want recomendations on a good helmet i suggest scorpions. i have crash tested them before and they have held up extremely well. they have a very good rating by consumer rating companies and are snell and dot rated and very affordable. but i cant stress enough about taking a motorcycle safety course.

as for the stock pipe, it screams at high revs. I just got mine back from the 600 mile service and frame slider install and was able to FINALLY see what the bike would do...... DAMN! this thing flat out hauls ***. I can't belive the amount of power it has. I don't NEED amymore at this point in my life. Wait until your break-in is done and then see what it will do.

I would say that your best bet would be to go back to the Stealership. Tell the that you were "carefully" taking off the decals, and noticed that the paint under the decal was bubbled. Let them know that you are very unhappy that this new bike is blemished, and insist that they replace the tank cover. I'm sure all they need to do is send it back to Honda to get their refund. Hopefully this will work, and you will not have to pay a cent more then you already gave to the dealership. And if anything else, it is worth a try. Hopefully they will work with you.

Good luck

D

wow, im as much of a newbie as you are

Im in the exact situation you are. Limited riding experience yet i run out and buy a brand new 06 600RR. I was going to take a safety course but decided that i didnt need too. Apparently I should call them up and do it, after reading all of these posts. Anyways congrats on ur bike, Sorry about you paint bubble and hopefully you and i can go thru the next few years with no major problems.
