As far as the bike goes, not totally. Your ride will be a little rougher and may where out the shock and what not a little more. You will lose handling and what not by lowering it, but if you do it right away, you wont know the difference, you will learn to the bike, HOWEVER, when you switch over to a different bike, eventually, you WILL have some "bad habits" if you keep that bike stock.

Thanks for all the info guys! Yes, I am short... I'm tippy toed on the bike as it is right now. So, I guess for me it's more a comfort/function thing than anything else.

There are many opinions good and bad on this topic.
Here aremy two pennies: It can be done successfully, but you will need to lower the front as well.It would be in your better interest to have someone who has suspension knowledge help you with this task. I would also recommend having the suspension professionally set specifically for you.
The main thing to remember is that you will loose ground clearance - the degree ofnegativitythis will have depends on your riding style. Know your limits if you intend torun the twisties or track. The positive is the confidence being able to touch / back up / turn around, etc gives you. It's hard to keep the bike from falling over if you can't push on the ground with your foot - which is impossible in most cases if you can only tippy-toe.
Good luck.

This is one of the best forums hands down I've ever been on and I've been on quite a few. Okay, So I guess I should go ahead and purchase the lowering links. From what I can tell, its a pretty straight forward part and swap? Is there anything I need to do specifically? [sm=smiley12.gif]
