Default Honda CBR 600RR '07 acceleration

Hey, quick question on the acceleration on this bike. Here in Finland they reported it went from 0-100km/h in 4.0 seconds in a test run. What values have you see in magazines or perhaps timed yourselves with this bike (in it's standard stock form without upgrades) from 0-100km/h or 0-60mp/h? What about the top speed? The magazine reported 255km/h and Hondas website reports 260km/h.

Thanks in advance!

4.0 seconds sounds about right. I put mine on a Dyno tech last weekend and I know some people disagree w/ the Dyno readouts, but I was a little above 60mph at 4 seconds. My top speed on the Dyno was 156mph, but I've had it faster than that on the streets. Don't know which is more legit. There's my two cents.

I know in 1st gear, I can hit 60- once i open up the throttle from the start- i know it doesnt take long at all to get to 60. You really have to hold on. I also have had the chance to open it up on a clear highway and hit 165mph. I dont think it would go any faster- the tach was sitting around 14900 and holding steady. There is absolutely no doubt about it, it is quick. Dangerously fast and such an adrenaline rush!

Easy. Take a digital cameral that has a video mode option.... get on the bike and go. hold onto camera with one hand- hit record. hold on to camera and manage turns. accelerate, brake, but look out for having to use a clutch you only have one hand- holding a camera. try it, but be careful, risks are high but as you see, it takes an awesome picture! i have many more video and pictures of rides just like that, hit me up, ill send some more.

I've just bought an 07 and I think i'd rather stick to doing 165mph than spending all that money on 12mph. If i want to do 180+mphwould haveboughtthe fireblade.
I'm only 5'5 and normal build for a woman so found the fireblade alot heavier than the 600 which just put me off slightly.

They Dyno tech is a machine, meaning the bikes on rollers versus me going faster on the streets or highway. 156mph on Dyno computer readout 168mph on the highway according to my speedometer. Hope that clears it up for you.
