Default Headlight question

I was wondering if the stock headlight will stay secured without the front fairing. I know the 1000RR requires the front fairing to keep the headlight in place. I hope the 600RR's headlight bolt right onto the front fairing stay?

The reason why I ask is because I have absolutely no fairings. I also saw a R6 today with no fairings at all. It was a mere skeleton bike. Missing absolutely everything you can name other than the frame, two wheels, engine, and a front headlight. I can't describe it, it just looks "raw" literally. I LOVE how it looks.

For 09, yes you should be able to without front fairings. However there will be lots of things exposed in the environment.
