Default Headlight lag

Hey guys,

Every now and then I run into some lag when i go to turn on my headlights. It seems like a second or two at the most....then i turn it off and turn it back on again and the lag lessens...by the third time they come on as soon as i hit the switch...like i said, this only happens every now and then but i'm wondering if its the start of something i should be worried about? thanks

You don't have HID's do you? If you do, it's normal for them to lag during warmup.

If you have regular lights........are you talking about both headlights or just the high beam? Because sometimes I have to tap the highbeam switch a little to get it to turn on. I'm taking it back to my dealer to have them replace the switch.

I'm thinking you have the same problem as me.

When you flip the switch all the way, and it doesn't come on, slightly tap (and I mean SLIGHTLY) on the end of the switch that is now up. If the high beam comes on after doing this, I think you have the same issue I do (which is a faulty or "about to be faulty" high-beam switch.) Most likely it's just dirty or worn contact points in the switch, but it's covered under warranty, so I would take it to a dealer, show them and have them replace it.
