Default Is this a good deal?

found a 2005 600RR 6800 miles. Needs tires. Prior salvage from light front end damage. Guy who owns the shop assured me it was fairs and headlight damage. Everything has been fixed and reinspected by the highway patrol. Has micron exhaust, flush from led turns, rear led with intergrated turn signals and new grips. Asking $3500. Thought about offering $3500 with new tires installed. Is this a good deal? Should I shy away from PRIOR salvage? First street bike, i hear salvage isn't as big of a deal as it is with cars. Thanks in advance guys.

It sounds like an okay deal given the year, mileage, and title situation. While is isn't THAT big of a deal that the title is salvage, it certainly deters buyers from getting on the bike. Just because the guy that owns the shop told you it was in okay condition does not mean that it is. I'm not sure where you're from, but you should ride it yourself if you can. They don't care about you, they want your money. Remember that. I vote you find one without the salvage title and go for that one. That way you know it's never been destroyed.

Hmm well I'd have another shop check the bike out. and maybe offer him 3grand with new tires.

Just picked up a 600rr and trusted what the guy said about the bike. Ended up having a cracked engine and severely warped frame.

Point is, don't trust trust what they say. If its been inspected, it should be ok, but inspector doesn't check for bent parts. IMO I would get a 2nd professional opinion on the bike before you buy. If its straight, its a decent deal.
