yea thanks tahoe.. im so glad i can sell my liver to pay to put 87 in my truck... seeing that i get 35mpg on the bike, i'll put 93 in just to have peice of mind.
and on a side note, im working on selling my truck to get a car that gets better MPG, so i dont support these glutonistic money grubbing oil companies, im doing my best to not help their deep, deep pockets.

well, it could be good for us if H.Chavez wants to **** off Bush and his oil cronies and sell oil to us cheaper, but who knows.... should be an interesting summer.

I build motors every day. You get the most power by running the lowest octane fuel you can without detonation. It's that simple and you can do what you want with that info.

the way i figure it is regular fuel is for regular cars/trucks. Which hit rpms no higher than 5000-8000 rpms. rr's will turn 15,000 rpms. Something tells me thats not everyday regular thats premuim. Anything turning that fast i don't want pinging. least thats why i spend the extra $1-2 per tank

Don't use anything less than premium, you have a high performance engine not a 1968 VW bug! Stick with what your owners maunual say's, should be 92 or higher...say's that formy 07'.Anything less can cause missfiring in the engine.

i've never had pre-detonation in this engine when i run in the high RPMs, and i run nothing but 87. if it's going to ping @ high RPM, it's going to ping at low RPM too, just less often (because your engine speed is lower, duh).

gnpcola1: 92 PON or 92 RON? big difference...

well lets see... a few people just said on their 03,04 and 07 RR's it says run 92 or higher, so who is reading their manual's that say to run 87?
